Tremor Empty Tremor

Background:

Trevor had skin problems from day one - warts, rashes, small stone-like growths - and when he was 12, he was finally diagnosed with a rare skin condition that had never been seen before in North America. His parents weren’t able to afford any real treatment for it, but thankfully the Omnigene Corporation stepped in. If Trevor was willing to undergo an experimental new treatment involving some sort of radiation, they would provide it free of charge. The effects were both rapid and unexpected, though technically the condition was cured: Trevor came out of it with grey skin, no hair, and rocky growths in some spots, but the pain was gone and the growths stopped spreading. Despite a long-running lawsuit against Omnigene and some bullying on account of his appearance, Trevor’s teenage years were fairly normal... Right up until his senior year when he transformed for the first time in a schoolyard brawl. His assailant was sent to the hospital and a lawsuit from the attacker’s family knocked out the last of his parents’ money.

Trevor ended up dropping out of high school and joining a nu metal band. And then, when that group folded, a classic rock cover band. Then hardcore, speed metal, death metal, and a brief stint with a rap-rock trio. He went through several bands over the course of a few years bouncing back and forth between singing and drums despite an utter lack of talent at either. As he entered his twenties, Trevor got increasing pressure to do something useful with his powers, but it wasn’t until he managed to literally take (well, deflect) a bullet for a mugging victim that he started to seriously consider the idea. Six months prior to the campaign, he took up the name Tremor, registered with ORACLE, and began his new life as a Cape.

Super Powers (30 + 5 from Super Karma):
==Altered Form (Requires Activation) - 2
==Burrowing (Pace, Contingent on Altered Form) - 2
==Earthquake (Depth) - 5
==Super Strength x4 (Contingent on Altered Form) - 7
==Attack, Melee x3 (Heavy Weapon, Contingent on Altered Form) - 6
==Matter Control x2 (Stone, Requires Material) - 2
==Armor x4 (Heavy Armor, Contingent on Altered Form) - 7
==Toughness x2 - 2
==Super Agility x1 - 2

Height: 6’4” (7’6” in stone form)
Weight: 320 (looks more like 160)
Eye Color: dark gray, almost black
Skin Color: light gray
Hair: n/a - bald, no eyebrows, no facial hair, no body hair
Age: mid-20s

Tremor is almost impossibly thin for his height with stony ridges where his eyebrows used to be. His elbows and knees have rocky spikes protruding a few inches each. His fingers are oddly smooth - no fingernails, no fingerprint whorls, and none of the usual wrinkles at the knuckles. Tremor walks like a man twice his weight, and for good reason: his body is about twice as dense as a normal man’s. All that said, aside from the stony protrusions, his anatomy is still fairly normal. If you prick him, he bleeds; if you tickle him, he laughs, etc.

But that’s on a normal day. When he needs to, Tremor takes on a new form. His skin turns to stone, usually taking on aspects of his surroundings, and he grows to over seven feet tall with a proportional increase in build. He looks like an NBA player if NBA players were big rock monsters. The stone at his joints grow to completely cover his knees and elbows and his hands turn to claws, though he can control his shape enough to turn them into giant stony fists when need be. His skin is damn near impenetrable - he’s only been shot twice, but the bullets bounced right off both times. His strength increases immensely with his new form, allowing him to lift a small car or push a truck around. In a fight, he’s been known to dive into the ground and reappear somewhere else on the field, usually leaving a trail of destruction behind him.

Regardless of his form, Tremor has a certain degree of control over the earth and stone around him. He can stomp his foot and rip open a fissure in the ground, and can lift the ground up in crude shapes to provide cover or protect people. His handiwork is pretty visible across some sections of the city, and it’s the main reason he can’t seem to hold onto any money these days. He’s constantly paying fines and damages for the collateral damage he leaves behind, though the people he saves usually speak up in his defense. Tremor doesn’t wear a costume - he typically wears a sleeveless shirt with a band’s logo on it and dark cargo pants.

Starting Gear (out of $250 starting cash):
Flashlight ($20)
Survival Knife ($50)
Lighter ($2)
Cellphone ($100)
First Aid Kit, Advanced ($35)

HQ:
Small downtown apartment (3 rooms, starter condition, 2 points) with a small detached garage (2 points) and a half-decent kitchen (1 point). Trevor drives a red 2002 Honda Civic - the odometer stopped working at about 145,000 miles.

I think you've got an extra floating skill point to spend?

With the addition of Notice everything looks good! I want to give it one more look tomorrow because I am exhausted tonight but everything looks to be correct. I love the backstory too.

For the First Aid kit I would say a basic kit with bandages, gauze, antiseptic would be $20, if you want one with all of that as well as stuff like needle and thread, some pain pills and a few more advanced items go with $35.
